Today our Oral Health Therapist Brittney, and Dental Assistant Shania, attended the under 8's day at Andergrove State School. The kids had a great time putting their brushing + flossing skills to the test and got some special prizes to take home.
It was great to see all the smiling faces. Thanks for having us!

Dental caries Cycle - lets explain it -
When acid-producing bacteria in plaque metabolize dietary sugars, they create an "acid attack" that removes minerals; if this persists without enough restorative saliva or fluoride, the tooth structure breaks down, leading to a cavity.
the secret to prevent cavities is to prevent plaque buildup, so regular professional cleans will break the cycle
