East Derwent Dental has been named Hobart & Southern Tasmania Dental Surgery of the Year at the inaugural Local Business Awards
To say we are excited, humbled and incredibly proud is an understatement ♥️
For Dr Karunesh Kashyap, this award represents years of hard work, continual learning and an unwavering commitment to providing the very best care possible to our patients.
But in true Dr K fashion, his first response was to acknowledge everyone around him.
He especially thanked his dedicated staff - Practice Manager Shellie Wilton and Dental Assistants Anita Sharma and Alira Paterson - whose hard work, kindness, empathy and commitment to “service before self” help make East Derwent Dental what it is today.
He also acknowledges the incredible support of our patients. We are so fortunate to have such a loyal, understanding and supportive patient community, many of whom have trusted our practice and team for many years.
Dr Kashyap paid a special tribute to his family, friends, teachers and mentors who have supported and shaped him throughout his journey, including Drs Jay and Jaggie Maharaj, whose support, guidance and mentorship have extended far beyond the walls of the surgery.
Since taking over East Derwent Dental in 2018, Dr K has continued to build upon the wonderful foundations of the practice while bringing his own passion, vision and exceptionally high standards of patient care.
And there is another side of Dr Kashyap that many people don’t see. Behind the scenes, he quietly gives so much back to so many. His generosity and support within our local community often happens without recognition or fanfare, simply because helping others is important to him.
This award belongs to a practice, but it represents something much bigger, our people, our patients, our history and the community we are so proud to be part of.
From all of us at East Derwent Dental, thank you to everyone who has supported us, trusted us and been part of our journey.
And a very special congratulations to Dr K. We see firsthand how hard you work, how much you care and the standards you set for yourself and those around you.
