Receiving dental care is an essential reason for leaving home when Covid guidelines are adhered to. We will be pre-screening all of our patients in addition to in-clinic screening and cleaning measures.

'Egg-cellent' Tips for Easter from our dentists:

1. Eat chocolate and treats at meal times, instead of snacking all day.

2. Try to avoid having leftover chocolate around the house for days or weeks after Easter.

3. Use alternatives such as plastic eggs instead of chocolate ones for Easter Egg Hunts.

Paediatric Dental Associations worldwide recommend a child’s first check-up be no later than 1 year of age, or within 6 months of the first tooth eruption. Your child’s first dental check-up will mostly be educational and aims to:

· Evaluate dental development, in particular any habits which can impact on this.
· Familiarise your child with dental settings.
· Discuss preventative home care.
· Sleep and general health guidance.

Research has shown that children who have not had their first dental check-up beyond age 2 were more likely to have visits for fillings and emergencies.
