That's because the acid in these foods and drinks can soften your tooth enamel, making it more vulnerable to damage from brushing.

Instead, wait at least 30 minutes after eating or drinking to brush your teeth. In the meantime, rinse your mouth with water and chew sugar-free gum to help neutralize the acid and promote saliva production, which can help protect your teeth. Take care of your pearly whites with this simple tip!
