Dental health week 𦷠The mystery of the missing young adultsā¦
This yearās Dental Health Week focuses on something we see all the time at work the āmissing years.ā
Children come every six months. Parents keep everyone on trackā¦
ā¦then around 18 years old lots of young adults vanish from the dental clinic.
A few years later, theyāre suddenly back.
Usually with a beard.
Sometimes with a fiancƩe.
Almost always sayingā¦
āI probably should have come in sooner.ā
Sometimes they confess that they havenāt seen anyone else- very loyal patients here (and then I gulp- it may have been ten years between visits)
We do NOT encourage this! Please - there are hundreds of clinics on the east coast š
The funny thing isāweāve joked for years that young blokes only remember the dentist when a wedding is on the horizon⦠and honestly, weāve been proven right more than once.
So if youāre 18ā25 (or know someone who is), consider this your friendly reminder.
Donāt wait until six months before the wedding. š
We love it when our ākidsā keep coming in - sometimes home on holidays, often with a partner, sometimes passing through, sometimes with their own kids. Christmas holidays are often when we see the uni students.
I promise you will be thousands of dollars in front if you stay on top of the regular checkups!
