World Mental Health Day was this week, so let’s talk about the room where a lot of people don’t relax.

Dental anxiety is real, it’s common, and it’s often the reason a small problem quietly became a big one. So here’s what we want you to know.

You can tell us at the desk, on the phone, on the form. It changes how we treat you. You can raise your hand and we stop, properly. You can book an appointment where nothing happens except a conversation, and some people need a few of those first. That’s completely fine.

We’ve spent years building a practice that doesn’t feel like one. Come and see if it worked.

Three things most people learn the hard way so you don’t have to.

The one that surprises patients most? Number one. Brushing straight after coffee, w**e or anything acidic actually scrubs softened enamel, wait half an hour.

Dental problems are famously silent until they’re not, which is the entire reason six-monthly check-ups exist: to catch things while they’re small.

None of this is complicated. It’s just rarely explained.

Susanna visited us looking to replace upper composite veneers that had previously been completed elsewhere.

Dr Shehan removed the existing veneers and completed eight new upper composite veneers, all completed in 1 visit.
