We love sustainability at Maison Dental and we are proud to be a Community Collection Hub for the Terracycle X Colgate Oral Care Recycling Program.

Help us support the Hunters Hill Waste Wise Festival of Sustainability tomorrow 17/06/2023 from 10am-3pm by bringing your old oral care products to the practice.

If you have any used electric toothbrush heads, toothbrushes, empty toothpaste packaging, interdental toothbrushes,floss containers etc drop them off in our box tomorrow to help us recycle with Terracycle. We will be open from 8am!

Last week for Dental Health Week, Glaphyra and Dorsa had the pleasure of visiting .huntershill for a short chat with the kids on how to achieve good dental health. (Wish everyone was as enthusiastic about their new toothbrushes as these children were!)

The key messages from the Australia Dental Association this year were:
1) Take your teeth on a date to the dentist.
2) Care for your teeth by brushing everyday two times a day.
3) Spoil your teeth by cleaning between them everyday.
4) Treat your teeth to healthy foods and drinks.
5) Show your teeth love by using them for their intended purpose - that means no opening bottles or packets.

Do you feel nervous in the dental chair? Do you dislike the sounds and smells at the dentist?
Dental anxiety is a very common condition and nothing to be embarrassed about.

One of the methods we use at Maison Dental to help alleviate dental anxiety is by using happy gas or nitrous oxide.

It is a colourless, odourless gas which is safe and effective to help you relax and take the edge off without any ongoing side effects. As soon as you stop breathing it in, the effects of nitrous oxide go away. Which means you can go about your merry way afterwards.

It’s safe for children as well. Happy gas gives some level of analgesia so we don’t have to use the needle for small fillings making it an easier painless experience for everyone.
