It’s Dental Health Week!

This year, the theme is "My Smile" and there is a focus on helping young adults look after their teeth.

It’s a busy stage of life, and dental appointments can be easy to put off—especially when nothing hurts. However, dental disease treated at an early stage, before it becomes painful, is often simpler and more cost effective to treat.

A few simple habits can make a big difference:
1. Brush twice daily with fluoridated toothpaste
2. Floss daily
3. Drink plenty of water, avoiding acidic and sugary drinks
4. Have your teeth checked regularly.

Early intervention = easier cure. Don't wait for something to feel strange before getting a comprehensive exam.

Dr Chris is away today furthering his knowledge and skills at the Australasian College of Dental Practitioners, attending a course focused on managing implant complications.

At Higgins Dental, we believe that ongoing education isn’t optional — it’s essential. Staying at the forefront of implant dentistry means continually refining techniques, understanding complications in greater depth, and ultimately providing safer, more predictable outcomes for our patients.
