Gingivitis is preventable and reversible by brushing and flossing.
Calculus is plaque that has absorbed calcium from saliva and then hardens. Calculus cannot be removed by brushing and flossing; it must be removed by a dental professional with dental cleaning instruments. If calculus stays in place for a long time, it can cause periodontitis.
Remember to floss @ least once per day!!!!!

Meet Lachlan Wake our Dental Intern from the University of Queensland.
Lachie joined the team @ Racecourse Road Dental & Orthodontics in 2022 while pursuing his Bachelor of Dental Science @ UQ. He has strong understanding of patient care while providing a calm, welcoming and comfortable dental experience putting patients at ease. Outside of dentistry Lachie enjoys spending time outdoors staying active, exploring hiking trails locally & abroad. His favorite so far is the Sea to Summit Trail in British Columbia, Canada.
