Please email [email protected] - answers here can be restrictive in length but we can give better info through email. The fact that MooGoo even exists is a happy accident. In 2005, the Head of the Herd (Craig Jones) noticed that his mother was using a white paste, intended for use on cows, to help with her Psoriasis. The cream was formulated to help keep the skin on cow’s udders in good condition

for milking. Cow’s udders need to be kept soft and supple, not dry and cracked. No one likes an angry cow with sore or cracked udders when it comes time to attach those milking cups. Although it seemed to be working well, the cream was thick and hard to apply. Since his mum didn’t particularly like being lathered in a thick cream made for cows, he took on the task of reformulating it and made up a lighter, non-greasy version. The word “udder” was a bit crass for an old-fashioned “lady” so they referred to it as “MooGoo” (goo for the cows) and the name stuck. Starting a skin care company wasn’t the initial idea, but friends and family kept asking for more of it, and eventually, Craig went into business. Since then MooGoo has grown to over 40 products to help with lots of different skin and scalp problems and sold throughout the world. From dealing with irritable skin and itchy scalps to natural sun care products and a baby range for the little ones. And most recently, a natural dental range. MooGoo’s ingredient philosophy has always remained the same: To make effective products using healthy ingredients, that we are comfortable using on ourselves and our loved ones. Craig continues to be very involved in the business, focusing mostly on formulation and product development.

Here’s some uplifting news!

We help sponsor the training costs of nurses wanting to further their qualifications in cancer care because we truly believe we need more of them. We currently sponsor two scholarship categories: one for initial training and another for more specialised cancer care roles.

It is impossible to choose! Each applicant submits both a written essay and a video presentation, and every one we’ve seen highlights just how passionate, intelligent, and compassionate these nurses are. Many share deeply personal experiences caring for someone with cancer, which inspired them to pursue this path.

Reading their stories reminds us that we must have some of the best future cancer care nurses in the world. Their dedication, empathy, and commitment to helping others is genuinely inspiring.

It really is difficult to choose just 1 winner and runner-up in each category because they all deserve support. We’ll be selecting the recipients shortly, but if this is the sort of thing anyone else would like to contribute towards, please let us know. There are at least 10 candidates we would love to help, but sadly we have to narrow it down to 4.

If you’d like to learn more about the scholarship program, please visit the scholarship page on our website:

Our Pink Eczema Cream (AUSTL457188) was working so well for people that we recently decided to make a Pink Shampoo and Conditioner for dandruff and itchy scalps. It’s quickly become one of our most popular products.

The pink colour comes from Vitamin B12. There are quite a number of studies showing this ingredient can be very helpful for eczema, although they often get overlooked (there’s a lot of information out there). Since adding it, we’ve seen fantastic results for people with skin and scalp concerns.

Coincidentally, there are other pink shampoos on the market, which was a surprise to us. Maybe we don't get out much. For us, the pink colour was originally a concern - we thought people (especially men) might not go for it. So it was even more surprising to see that some shampoos use an artificial pink colourant called Erythrosine. Worth looking into before putting it on your skin.

There are generally two approaches to treating scalp problems. One is the “sledgehammer” approach - using harsh detergents or sometimes acids to strip away flakes. Despite claims of being gentle, the ingredients can be quite strong. An example of the ingredients used are below, and when you stop using them, your scalp can end up drier than before.

Our approach is different. No sledgehammer. We use a mix of 4 gentle cleansers as a little of each tends to be milder, along with ingredients that help support the scalp’s microbiome. The goal is to improve scalp health over time, not just provide a quick fix.

Natural ingredients are usually more expensive than synthetic ones, so we’re a little surprised our shampoo and conditioner is a lot less expensive than the one below.

Anyway, long story short - if you have a scalp problem, want a gentler, long-term solution, and don’t mind a light pink shampoo, give our Pink Flake-Free Shampoo and Conditioner a try.
