1st of August marks the first day of Dental Health Week! ๐Ÿฆท

This year we are focusing on "Getting Sugar Savvy" ๐Ÿง‹๐Ÿญ

Do you know how much sugar is hiding in your food?

It's time to limit your sugar intake as part of a healthy, well-balanced diet!

Fizzy drinks, Sweets, Cakes and Biscuits are popular foods which are regularly enjoyed by both adults and children alike. However, exceeding the recommended daily intake of sugar could be affecting your teeth and overall health.

The recommended amount of sugar daily is 24 grams so be sure to read the food labels and understand the impact sugar has on our teeth. ๐Ÿง

Remember to visit your general dentist every 6-12 months for a check up and clean, by doing so you are being proactive in preventing oral health issues.

Your dentist can also give you further advice on where your dental health routine might be lacking and help you stay on top of dental issues before they damage your mouth and teeth.

Keep smiling and look after those precious teeth! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

Please wear a mask when attending your appointments.

The Victorian Government has announced new restrictions as a result of an emerging COVID-19 outbreak in Melbourne. The main change impacting dental practices is the requirement to wear a face mask indoors from 6pm tonight in all areas of Greater Melbourne. All staff must wear a face mask in all areas of the dental practice (not just when treating patients) and patients must wear a face mask in the reception area. Practices should continue to screen patients for symptoms and if they have been at any of the potential exposure sites.
