Forster Health Solutions is seeking a friendly, organised and reliable Medical Receptionist / Administration Clerk to join our allied health clinic serving the Forster/Tuncurry community.
We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people, communicates confidently and professionally, and can help ensure our patients receive a welcoming and efficient experience from the moment they contact or enter the clinic.
About the Role
As an important part of our reception and administration team, your responsibilities will include:
* Greeting and assisting patients in a warm and professional manner
* Answering telephone calls and responding to patient enquiries
* Booking, confirming and rescheduling patient appointments
* Managing practitioner appointment diaries
* Using patient management and appointment booking software
* Processing patient information accurately and maintaining confidential records
* Taking payments and assisting with general reception duties
* Communicating with practitioners and other members of the clinic team
* Assisting with general administrative and clerical duties
* Helping maintain an organised, professional and welcoming reception area
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
* Friendly, approachable and confident with patients
* An excellent communicator, both in person and over the phone
* Organised and able to manage multiple tasks
* Comfortable using computers and learning new software
* Reliable, punctual and able to work independently
* Professional and respectful when handling confidential patient information
* Able to work effectively as part of a team
* Calm and helpful when dealing with a busy reception environment
Experience
Previous experience in medical, allied health or healthcare reception would be highly regarded.
Experience using a patient management system, appointment booking software or similar practice management software would also be an advantage.
However, we are also interested in applicants with strong reception, administration or customer service experience who have the right attitude and are willing to learn.
