Their journey took 15 months in total. The teeth are retained in upper and lower fixed wire retainers and removable retainers worn nightly.

Details: Spacing and unerupted 23 (upper left canine). Surgical exposure completed by the talented Dr Caitlin Deveridge (Registered General Dentist).

Congratulations to our patient for completing their orthodontic journey in Clear aligner treatment through Smile On Straighter!

This is a combined “Ortho/Restorative” case where the restorative component was completed by Dr Mark Steenson (Registered General Dentist).

Their journey took 17 months in total. One refinement (extra aligners) was required for orthodontic finishing. The teeth are retained in lower fixed wire retainers and removable retainers worn nightly.

Details: Class I, Deep bite, congenitally missing 12 (upper right lateral incisor) and peg shaped upper left lateral incisor (22). Orthodontic treatment completed in clear aligners, resin bonded bridge to replace missing 12 and composite veneer to increase and enhance tooth anatomy for tooth 22.

Furthering my studies in Dental Sleep Medicine, TMD and facial pain, I’ve recently completed the TMD & Sleep Dentistry Mini-Residency (through Sleep & TMJ Study Club, Dr Damian Teo).

This weekend in Melbourne, I also completed advanced training in dry needling, acupuncture and laser therapy — expanding my skillset in managing orofacial pain and temporomandibular disorders with a broader, evidence-based approach.

A real highlight was learning alongside experts in their respective fields — exercise physiologists, myotherapists, physiotherapists and osteopaths — reinforcing the importance of a true whole-body approach to care.

Needles (pun intended) to say… after a weekend of hands-on training, my own face is feeling very relaxed! 💉💆‍♂️

Continuous learning. Better patient outcomes.
