A message to our community
In 2008, I arrived in Launceston knowing nobody. I was a young dentist with no idea what this community would come to mean to me.
Launceston welcomed me. It gave me opportunities. It gave me lifelong friendships. Most importantly, it became the place where I met my wife, Natalie, where we built our life together and raise our two beautiful daughters.
Over the last decade, we have poured our hearts into building Dr Daniel Tan & Associates and, together with our incredible team, we have achieved more than I ever imagined possible.
But over the last few years, l've found myself reflecting on what success really means. There will always be another project, another goal, another challenge to pursue. But the years when your children are growing up are fleeting. They don't wait.
Sophie and Mia are growing up quickly. I know these years are precious and I want to be more present for them. I want to have the time and space to enjoy these years with them while I can.
That realisation led Natalie and me to make an important decision about the future of our practice. Today, I'm proud to share that National Dental Care has acquired a portion of our business and will become part of the next chapter of our journey.
This partnership strengthens the future of our practice, creates new opportunities for our team and ensures we can continue delivering exceptional care for our patients for many years to come.
Most importantly, it allows me to create a little more space for what matters most, my family.
What I want everyone to know is this:
We're not going anywhere. I'll still be here caring for my patients. Natalie and our team will still be here. The values, culture and commitment to excellence that have defined DDTA remain unchanged. It is simply the beginning of an exciting new chapter.
To every patient who has trusted me, every team member who has believed in our vision and every person who has supported us over the past 18 years - thank you. You helped a young dentist build a life beyond anything he could have imagined.
Daniel.
