A complete upper arch rehabilitation using All-on-4 dental implants.

This case involved the full clearance of the upper arch, followed by the placement of four strategically positioned dental implants to support a fixed full-arch prosthesis.

The aim was to restore function, stability and aesthetics, while creating a new smile that was balanced with the patient’s facial features and overall appearance.

After months of orthodontic treatment, Ellie has officially finished, and what a transformation it has been. Her smile looks amazing, but what we love most is seeing the confidence that comes with it.

It has been such a privilege to be a small part of Ellie’s orthodontic journey and to watch her smile change along the way. We are so grateful she trusted us with her treatment and let us be there for such an exciting chapter of her life. 💕

And now, somehow, it’s already time for Year 12 and the HSC! 📚

Phase 1 orthodontics is all about early intervention.

Rather than waiting until all the adult teeth have come through, Phase 1 treatment looks at how the teeth, jaws and bite are developing while a child is still growing. The aim is to address certain issues early, create better conditions for the adult teeth, and guide development where appropriate.

Every child is different, so early assessment is important to determine whether treatment is needed now, later, or not at all.

Orthodontic transformation.

This case shows a significant anterior open bite, where the front teeth do not meet. One of the key contributing factors in cases like this is a tongue thrust, where the tongue habitually pushes forward against the teeth.

Other factors such as thumb sucking and improper breathing patterns can also play a role in how the jaws and teeth develop over time.

With the right diagnosis, planning, and treatment, we were able to guide this case into a stable, functional bite with proper occlusion.

A great reminder that orthodontics is not just about straight teeth, but about function, balance, and long term health.
