We know our appointments can book well in advance, and we’re incredibly grateful for the trust you place in our clinicians.

Dental assisting is a varied, hands-on, and rewarding role. Working closely with our clinicians you will help deliver exceptional patient care by:
• Preparing treatment rooms for patient appointments
• Providing chairside assistance during dental procedures
• Passing instruments and mixing dental materials
• Maintaining accurate clinical records
• Using suction and retraction during treatment
• Sterilising instruments and maintaining infection control standards
• Processing dental radiographs
• Assisting with patient appointments and treatment coordination
• Helping with patient payments and administrative tasks when required

Is your whole mouth really being checked?

A dental examination shouldn’t only be about looking at your teeth 🦷

If your gums aren’t being periodontally probed and assessed, you may not know what’s happening beneath the surface.

Your teeth might look great, but healthy teeth need healthy foundations — your gums and supporting bone - and they need checking too.

🩸 No probing = no bleeding index.

And without measuring your gums, important signs of gum disease can be missed.

Next time you have a dental examination, ask:

“Have my gums been checked and what is my bleeding index, do I have any bone loss or deep pockets?’

Because looking after your smile means looking after the whole mouth — including the foundations.

📣 Bringing world-class periodontal research to Dubbo!

We are incredibly fortunate to have Professor Axel Spahr, a highly respected periodontist and researcher, visiting our clinic here in Dubbo and bringing his wealth of knowledge and experience to our patients in regional NSW.

Professor Spahr is involved in exciting research into Artificial Intelligence (AI) and periodontics — work that has the potential to transform how periodontal disease is detected, monitored and managed.

For our patients here in Dubbo and the wider Central West, advances like these could mean earlier detection, more accurate assessment and improved access to specialist-level care, without always having to travel long distances to metropolitan centres.

We feel incredibly privileged to have a professor of Professor Spahr’s calibre visit our Dubbo practice and share his expertise with our team and patients. It is a wonderful example of how world-class research and innovation can make a real difference to healthcare in rural communities.

⏰ It’s been a while since I’ve posted a new clinic update and I’ve had a lot of questions about where we are up to.

📊 There is a LOT happening on the inside at the moment air con, data and cords everywhere!

🙋‍♀️ To answer a few questions - the dental surgery will occupy the ground floor and upstairs will be two apartments.

🚙 There will be 12 onsite car parks for patient parking 😅

🎄 We should be in by Christmas 🤶
