🦷 Day 4 of Dental Health Week 🦷

Ever notice your gums bleeding when you brush or floss? That’s a sign they might need some extra care! Healthy gums should be pink, firm, and bleed-free. Bleeding gums can indicate gingivitis or gum disease, often caused by plaque buildup. Maintaining a good oral hygiene routine with regular brushing, flossing, and dental check-ups can keep your gums in top shape. Remember, healthy gums are the foundation of a healthy smile! 😁✨

🦷✨ Happy Dental Health Week! ✨🦷

Taking care of your teeth isn’t just about a bright smile; it’s about maintaining overall health. Here’s how to make sure you’re cleaning your teeth properly:

1. **Brush Twice a Day:** Use a fluoride toothpaste and a soft-bristled brush.
2. **Brush for 2 Minutes:** Divide your mouth into four sections and spend 30 seconds on each.
3. **Use the Right Technique:** Hold your brush at a 45-degree angle to your gums. Use gentle, circular motions to clean the outer, inner, and chewing surfaces of each tooth.
4. **Don’t Forget Your Tongue:** Brush your tongue to remove bacteria and keep your breath fresh.
5. **Floss Daily:** Slide the floss gently between your teeth, following the curve of each tooth. Make sure to clean beneath the gumline.

Remember, half-cleaning or missing areas can lead to plaque build-up, cavities, and gum disease. Stay consistent and thorough for a healthy, happy smile! 😁🪥

🦷✨ Dental Health Week Reminder! ✨🦷

Did you know that smoking is a major cause of gum disease? 🚬➡️😷

Smoking weakens your immune system, making it harder to fight off gum infections. Over time, this can lead to serious issues like tooth loss and even heart disease! 💔🦠

But there’s good news! Quitting smoking can significantly improve your gum health and overall well-being. 🌟💪

This Dental Health Week, take a step towards a healthier smile by saying goodbye to ci******es. Your gums (and your future self) will thank you! 🙌❤️

Do you have a dental emergency?

It is important to identify whether your dental issue requires immediate attention or if it can wait until regular office hours.

Here are some common signs of a dental emergency:

Severe Toothache
If you experience intense persistent tooth pain that is unbearable, please contact our surgery immediately.

Knocked-Out Tooth
If an adult tooth is knocked out due to an accident or injury, time is of the essence. Try not to touch the root and place back in the socket if possible. If that is not feasible, put the tooth in a glass or milk or saliva as soon as possible and call our clinic.
For baby teeth do not place back in the mouth as this can damage any potential adult teeth underneath. Please try and also place in milk or saliva in a cup until you see a dentist.

Swelling
Swelling of any kind can be dangerous and should be seen as soon as possible.

How We May Help
At our clinics, we prioritise dental emergencies. If you have any of the above issues or any other concerns please call us on 9446 1344 and we will be happy to help.

A smile is always in fashion and here at Doubleview Dental Clinic we want all our patients to have a confident and radiant smile, that's why we offer Invisalign!

What is Invisalign you ask?

Invisalign is a series of plastic aligners custom-made to fit your teeth perfectly.

Unlike metal braces, they are virtually invisible.

The photos below are of the lovely Shannon's teeth after only 6 months! How good are these results 😍😍😍
