āMy father didnāt tell me how to live; he lived and let me watch him do itā
This morning we watched doctors, electricians, dogmen & CEOās braiding hair like they were diffusing a roadside bomb.
Our first-ever Unearthed⢠Dad & Daughter camp finished today. An experience in the wilderness that gave Dads & their girls time together that life rarely allows.
Dads flew in from around the country to be there.
After gaining newly acquired braiding skills, the girls dunked their fatherās heads in glitter that proved impossible to get off.
There would have been some sheepish servo stops and plane rides this afternoon.
Every Dad came to the weekend wanting to give his daughter the best shot at life.
Watching their love, patience and willingness to be uncomfortable was maybe the highlight of our year.
These girls are in the most safest of hands.
Today, and this week - ask your daughter to teach you something she loves. A dance. A game. A hairstyle. Give her your full attention and youāll find a little pot of gold - we promise.
Happy Fatherās Day to all the Dads out there.
