Focus on meaningful events, instead of food. We often base our holiday events on food, but this may not be great for our teeth, waistline, and health.

To take the focus off of food, set up activities like board and card games, craft projects, or holiday movie marathons.

If you find yourself having to snack regularly, try to have your sweets and sugary things with your main meal. This includes sweet drinks.

Don’t let your oral health routine slip

Taking a break from your usual routines over the holiday period can be a welcome change- however, one part of our daily routines that shouldn’t be left behind is our oral health.
It’s even more important to keep up with your daily brushing and flossing over the holiday period, given that most of us will be tucking into extra indulgent foods.

Avoid overindulging in acidic foods.

Acidic foods can weaken the protective layer of enamel that covers the surface of our teeth, leaving them exposed to a wide range of oral health issues. As acid-rich food and drinks include things like citrus fruits, red wine, and fizzy drinks, you may find you’re consuming more of them over Christmas.

Use a straw when drinking acidic beverages
Drink water after consuming acidic foods to help wash away bacteria.

We are proud to introduce Dr. Nicole Chong who joined our team earlier this year.

Dr. Nicole Chong graduated with her Masters of Dentistry from La Trobe university. Patients describe her as bubbly, gentle, caring and conscientious, as her motto is that she would "treat all her patients as if they are family".

Dr. Nicole is fluent in both English and Mandarin.
