We are looking for a dental hygienist to start working at our practice from late January 2023. The job entails working for 2-4 days a week as desired.

Our practice is focused entirely on delivering a high level of patient care. All our staff have a sound appreciation of the important role that dental hygienists play in the management of patients with periodontal disease. All clinicians work with dental assistants for every clinical procedure.

Mentoring will be provided by a specialist periodontist. Our practice is a fully computerised, modern practice with state of the art equipment and facilities as well as spacious treatment rooms.
A minimum of 2 years' experience as a dental hygienist would be ideal.

The position entails :-
Working as a team with the periodontist to treat and maintain patients with advanced periodontal disease.
Delivering outstanding customer service and specialist care to all our patients.
Formulating and discussing treatment plans with patients.
Communicating with referring dental colleagues about ongoing patient care via written correspondence.

Applicants must possess:-
A strong obsession for preventive care.
Excellent time management, verbal and written communication skills.
Good computer and literacy skills.
A strong attention to detail.
Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to deal with all personality types.
A friendly manner and a "Can do" attitude.

Our practice is temporarily closed due to multiple staff illnesses. None of our staff have COVID-19 but several have the flu or are caring for children with other illnesses. As such our reception will be unmanned for a few days. We sincerely apologise to all our patients as well as referring practices for any inconvenience caused and shall work doubly hard to catch up on your enquiries when we reopen. To all of our patients and referring practices - we shall be reopening our practice on Mon 26 Apr 2020 as the Government has eased restrictions on permissible dental treatment.

Whilst this means that we can perform some procedures it also means that we still cannot perform others. If you have an upcoming appointment or if you have had your appointment recently cancelled by us, our staff will be in touch with you if your dental treatment can be performed safely within the current guidelines. Alternatively, please contact our practice on 07 4728 2332 and our staff would be happy to discuss the specifics of your treatment with you.

Of course, if you have any reservations about proceeding with any treatment then your wishes will be respected. Your safety is our primary concern. If you do proceed with any treatment then please be aware that we will be taking several additional precautions in addition to our already stringent infection control procedures.

Please note though that the current restrictions may change again in the future which may mean that we may have to once again reschedule appointments. Thank you very much for your understanding and we would like to wish and your loved ones the very best in these challenging times.

The Easter bunny made his annual visit to our practice last night. As our practice was closed for patient appointments due to current COVID-19 restrictions, our staff wasted no time morphing into 3 mini-tornadoes, tearing trough the practice rooms and tracking down (nearly) all of his bounty. Happy Easter to all.
