The Role
We are a family-owned Dental Practice based in the South Eastern suburbs. We are seeking an efficient and proactive Dental Receptionist to join our busy team at Beyond Dental. We operate in a warm and inviting environment, where you will grow with us.
Qualities
Reception work is a core responsibility; our support staff plays a key role towards the ongoing success of our practice.
To thrive within our team, you will have:
• A strong work ethic, and be reliable and punctual.
• A polished, professional image with a high standard of personal presentation.
• A positive attitude and the ability to show care and compassion.
• Clinical training and previous experience in modern clinical procedures.
• Ability to interpret and apply legislation, regulations, policies and procedures.
• Sound computer literacy skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office and dental management software.
• Professional phone manner.
• The ability to multi-task and work well in a small team.
• Be experienced with office procedures including HICAPS, Microsoft Word, and Medicare Claims.
• A good working knowledge of OASIS dental software or a similar program.

A probation period of 3 months applies and then permanent position for the successful applicant.
Remuneration
Remuneration will be based on the experience and capability of the successful candidate. We pay significantly above the award rate for the right person.

At Beyond Dental we are still open during stage 4 restrictions. As previously posted we are open for dental emergencies. Our opening hours are Monday to Friday 8.30 am to 1 pm, so if you require emergency work please call 5996 8500.
All patients and staff have their temperature taken and logged for tracing purposes if needed, the reception area and surgeries are thoroughly cleaned between all patients, a series of Covid-19 related questions will be asked when triaging your appointment.
We are doing everything we can to be there for our patients and community during this pandemic, we hope you all stay safe and well.

We are still open at Beyond Dental, however as enforced by the Victorian Government on the 7th of August we must work under restricted activity.
For dental this means working at a level 3 dental restriction which limits us to performing emergency dental treatment only.
If you have an appointment over the next six weeks that does not fall under urgent or emergency dental treatment we will be in contact with you soon.

COVID-19 Update
We are happy to announce Beyond Dental we will begin to see new and existing patients under stage 2 dental restrictions. What this means for our patients is we can do treatment that does not cause aerosol sprays such as:
Examinations, simple non-invasive fillings using a rubber dam, non-surgical extractions, medical management of soft tissue presentations, denture procedures, preventative procedures such as the application of topical re-mineralising agents e.g. fluoride, orthodontic treatment.
This news provides great relief for us as we love what we do and being able to care for our patients. Our opening hours will be limited to Tuesday and Wednesdays until further notice. Patients can be seen by Dr. Ayman Kleid or Dr. Karim Farag. Call our clinic on 5996 8500 for a phone assessment to see if your treatment falls under one of the above categories.
Please refer to our previous post to read about the outlined precautions we are taking to protect our staff and community. In addition we have added N95 face masks to our staff personal protective equipment being used.
We are continuing closely monitoring the situation regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak and following precautions as the situation changes advised by WHO (World Health Organization) ADA (Australian Dental Association), Australian and local governments and the Infection Control guidelines. COVID-19 Update
At Beyond Dental we are continuing to practice business as usual as advised by WHO (World Health Organization) ADA (Australian Dental Association), Australian and local governments and the Infection Control guidelines. We are closely monitoring the situation regarding the Coronavirus(COVID-19) outbreak and following precautions as the situation changes.
Your health and safety as our patient is our priority. In the interests of the safety of staff, patients and community we ask that you reschedule your appointment if:
- You have travelled internationally in the past 14 days, please do not attend out clinic
- You are experiencing any of the COVID – 19 related symptoms such as: fever, breathing difficulties, cough, sore throat, fatigue or tiredness.
- If you have been in contact with anyone who has tested COVID-19 positive or travelled internationally in the past 14 days.
- If you are awaiting results for COVID- 19 testing.
How can we work together?
- Please use the Hand sanitizer upon entering and exiting the clinic
- Respect this is a handshake free zone
- Payment with card to avoid handling cash would be preferred.
- Applying good hygiene habits such as coughing into arm, elbow or tissue. Proper disposal of tissues.
What are we doing to protect the community?
- Providing soap and hand sanitizer for staff and patients
- Providing antiseptic mouth rinse to all patients before treatment
- Staff are wearing Personal Protective Equipment and maintaining proper hygiene.
- All surfaces in the clinic and reception area are being cleaned with hospital grade disinfectant and detergent between patients.
- Proper disposal of contaminated items
- Magazines and toys have been removed from circulation
- All instruments are undergoing a thorough cleaning before sterilizations.
