🪥 Less is more when it comes to kids and toothpaste! 🪥

That big swirly blob on the brush? It’s way more than little ones actually need — and it’s a habit worth breaking early. Here’s why:

✨ For kids under 3, a smear the size of a grain of rice is plenty
✨ For ages 3–6, a pea-sized amount does the job
✨ Swallowing too much fluoride toothpaste over time can lead to dental fluorosis (those white spots on adult teeth)
✨ It’s not about how much toothpaste — it’s about brushing technique and time (2 minutes, twice a day!)

Pro tip: let your child use their pinky finger to measure the right amount before they brush — it turns it into a fun little ritual instead of a fight! 💙

🏋️ Massive effort from our youngest dental assistant, Flynn!

At just 17, Flynn smashed a personal best deadlift of 270kg at the Deadlift for Dogs fundraiser at Nexus Performance, Burleigh Heads — all in support of the Animal Welfare League. 🐾

Big respect for the dedication that goes into a lift like that, on top of keeping our patients smiling every day at Welcome Dental. Proud of you, Flynn! 💪

Meet Earle Page 🏄‍♂️ — a true legend of the Woolgoolga Longboard Club and this weekend’s comp.

Earle is the grandson of, and named after, former Australian Prime Minister Earle Page. Over 75 and still surfing like a champion — winner at this year’s Noosa Festival and ranked #3 in his age division nationally.
