Please join us in welcoming the newest member of the TASC family — Sara Gunnarsdottir, our new Oral Health Therapist! Sara qualified from the University of Otago, New Zealand in 2018.
Sara brings a special skill set to our practice that we're really excited about. As an Oral Health Therapist with a paediatric scope of practice, Sara can care for children and teens up to 17 years old — including check-up exams, x-rays, fillings and extractions of baby teeth when needed. It means your little ones (and not-so-little ones) can have their full visit with one gentle, friendly clinician from start to finish. With a focus on prevention, she is able to spend as much time as needed to help our patients achieve excellent oral hygiene. Dr James is excited to be working with her to give our patients more time and extra care at each appointment.
Sara also sees adult patients for scale and cleans and periodontal (gum disease) treatment — so whether it's the kids' six-monthly check-up or keeping your own gums healthy, she's got the whole family covered.
Like everyone at TASC, Sara shares our commitment to calm, comfortable, judgement-free dentistry. If your child feels nervous about the dentist, she's a wonderful person for them to meet.
