🎉 Congratulations to Dr. Jamie Lam on completing the OrthoED Institute Mini Masters in Orthodontics!

Dr. Jamie has been transforming smiles with clear aligners since 2020. Already holding a Graduate Diploma in Clear Aligners, he wanted to expand his expertise to treat complex cases with traditional fixed braces. This led him to complete intensive training under renowned orthodontist Dr. Geoff Hall.
Now on his way to earning a full Graduate Diploma in Orthodontics, Dr. Jamie is excited to continue supporting our North Shore patients with a wider range of tailored orthodontic care.

Ready to achieve your dream smile? Reach out to So Dental today to book your consultation! 😁

Swapped our suction tubes for arts and crafts! 🌸 Our amazing dental assistants got together for a fun afternoon of making acrylic pressed flowers—with the added bonus of celebrating a team birthday! 🎂
Sharing laughs (and cake!) outside the clinic actually makes a huge difference at work, too. When our assistants are in sync off-the-clock, it means smoother, perfectly coordinated care for you in the chair. Plus, arranging those delicate flowers takes the exact same steady hands and attention to detail they use in the clinic every day.
So lucky to have this incredible crew supporting your smiles! ✨

A huge thank you to Dr. Alice Wong from North Shore Orthodontics for delivering an incredible lecture filled with gems of wisdom on interceptive orthodontics! 💡🦷
For our patients and parents: interceptive orthodontics simply means early intervention. By guiding jaw growth and tooth alignment in young children, we can prevent more complex alignment issues down the road.
We are incredibly lucky to work so closely with such a dedicated specialist. At So Dental, we constantly engage with local specialists to keep our knowledge sharp and ensure that when a referral is needed, our patients get the absolute best care possible. 🌟

Ever dread rinsing your teeth after brushing? 🥶🚰
With the winter weather rolling in, even the tap water feels freezing right now. If taking a sip of water or rinsing after you brush gives you a sharp, painful jolt, your teeth are trying to tell you something!
When tap water drops in temperature, it easily triggers the nerves inside your teeth—especially if you have receded gums, worn down enamel, or cavities.
While switching to lukewarm water can help you get through your morning routine, masking the pain won't fix the underlying cause. If tap water is making you wince, it’s a clear sign it's time for a professional check-up so we can pinpoint exactly why your teeth are feeling vulnerable.

Continuous training = Ultimate patient safety. 💻✨
A huge shout-out to Vivian and Lisa for attending the latest lecture on dental infection control guidelines.
True to our team culture, they didn't keep that knowledge to themselves! Vivian recently ran a training seminar for all of our dental assistants to ensure our practice continues to operate at the highest standard.
Let’s hear it for Vivian for leading the session, and for our whole team's dedication to keeping our patients safe and protected! 👏💙

Is a "good night's sleep" feeling like a distant memory? 😴
We are excited to announce our official partnership with Arise Sleep to provide convenient, medical-grade Home Sleep Studies right here at our practice.
To kick off this partnership, we recently welcomed Dr. Ben Chuang, founder of Arise, to our clinic. Dr. Chuang shared his extensive expertise with our entire team, providing in-depth training on the latest in sleep apnoea detection and the life-changing treatments available through dental sleep medicine.
Why does this matter for you?
Sleep apnoea is more than just snoring—it can affect your heart health, energy levels, and overall quality of life. By partnering with Arise, we can now offer:
• ✅ Simple Home Testing: No need for an overnight hospital stay.
• ✅ Expert Analysis: Results reviewed by independent sleep physicians.
• ✅ Custom Solutions: From Mandibular Advancement Splints to coordinated care.
If you or a partner are struggling with snoring, morning headaches, or daytime fatigue, let’s talk at your next visit.

The team spent some time at ADX (the Australian Dental Exhibition) this week!

It’s always great to see what’s new in dental technology and the latest materials being developed. We’re constantly looking for ways to make your visits a bit smoother and even more comfortable, and we’re looking forward to bringing some of these new finds back to the practice.

Whether you see us at Lemon Grove or Chatswood Place, we’re committed to keeping things modern and high-quality for our community.
