Considering Dental Treatment Overseas? Here is what you should know.

With the New Year often comes the desire for a fresh start, and for some, that includes looking for "more affordable" dental options abroad. However, "cheaper" can sometimes come with hidden clinical costs.

In this video, Dr. Jack discusses the complexities of overseas dental work, focusing on:

🦷 Continuity of Care: What happens if you need a follow-up or if a complication arises once you're back in Australia?
🦷 Clinical Standards: Differences in regulation, sterilisation protocols and material quality.
🦷 Biological Timelines: Why rushing complex procedures (like implants or crowns) into a two-week holiday can sometimes compromise the long-term success of the treatment.

At Beyond Infinity Dental, we advocate for evidence-based planning and long-term support for your oral health.

Planning to celebrate after your wisdom teeth removal? Read this first! πŸ₯‚πŸš«

While it might be tempting to unwind with a drink after your procedure, alcohol and oral surgery recovery are not a good mix. To ensure a smooth healing process, our clinical team recommends avoiding alcohol for at least 7 days post-extraction.

Why the wait?
βœ” Clot Protection: Alcohol can thin the blood, increasing the risk of dislodging the essential blood clot at the extraction site (leading to the painful condition known as 'Dry Socket').
βœ” Medication Safety: Mixing alcohol with prescribed pain relief or antibiotics can lead to adverse reactions and nausea.
βœ” Slower Healing: Alcohol can suppress the immune response and dehydrate the mouth, delaying the repair of your gum tissue.

Our Tip: Stick to plenty of water and soft foods for the first week to give your body the best chance to recover.

Persistent bad breath (halitosis) is often more than just an inconvenienceβ€”it can be a clinical sign of underlying oral health issues. While mints and mouthwash might offer a temporary fix, they often mask the root cause.
Common clinical causes may include:
βœ… Lingering bacteria in hard-to-reach areas.
βœ… Early signs of gum disease (periodontitis).
βœ… Chronic dry mouth (xerostomia).
βœ… Decay or failing dental restorations.
Understanding the cause is the first step toward a healthier mouth. Our team at Beyond Infinity Dental focuses on identifying these triggers to help you maintain fresh breath and long-term oral health.

When is the right time for your little one’s first dental visit? πŸ‘ΆπŸ¦·
The general clinical recommendation is: From 6 months old.

Early visits aren't just about checking teeth; they are about:
βœ… Building a positive, familiar relationship with the dental environment.
βœ… Monitoring jaw and gum development.
βœ… Providing parents with evidence-based tips on cleaning and nutrition.
Starting early helps set the foundation for a lifetime of oral health.
