Annalise has been working at Shine Bright Dental as a receptionist for just over 6 months now (but already it feels like she’s part of the Shine Bright Dental furniture! 😂 She’s fit right in!) Outside of Shine Bright Dental, Annalise has a long-term boyfriend and is gearing up to be maid of honour in her sister’s wedding! Annalise is bubbly, confident and dependable. At work she is the smiling and reassuring face at reception and the helpful voice on the end of your calls 💕

Should I rinse my mouth after brushing? 🪥💧

The answer might surprise you: you should spit, don’t rinse!

Rinsing with water straight after brushing washes away the concentrated fluoride left behind by your toothpaste. Leaving it on your teeth gives it more time to help strengthen enamel and protect against decay 🦷✨

Simply spit out the excess toothpaste and skip the rinse.

A great dental visit should help at home, too! 🪥

Oral hygiene instruction is part of every visit at Shine Bright Dental. We show our patients how to care for their teeth between appointments and give parents practical ways to help their kids build healthy dental habits.

This school holidays, Dr Jason had a particularly special patient - his gorgeous niece Mia! He demonstrated brushing technique with Mia and talked Mum through how to help her at home 💕

Why does it matter? More than 42% of children aged 5–10 have experienced decay in their baby teeth. Brushing twice a day and helping children brush until around age 8 are simple, important parts of home care.
