WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR OUR PATIENTS?
Our clinical systems have undergone comprehensive independent assessment against nationally recognised standards for safety and quality in Australian healthcare.
These credentials confirm that our clinic has established and demonstrated systems supporting patient identification, infection prevention, medication safety, clinical communication, emergency preparedness, consumer involvement and continuous quality improvement.
Our Category G classification recognises A1 Dental Barton as a private hospital providing eligible episodes of hospital treatment lasting no longer than 24 hours. This supports our delivery of day procedure surgeries and dental treatment under intravenous sedation within an appropriately licensed and governed clinical environment.

This achievement reflects the shared leadership of our Clinical Director and Practice Manager, together with the commitment and contribution of our entire multidisciplinary team.
Our Dentists, Oral Surgeons, Anaesthetists, Registered Nurses, Dental Assistants and Administration Team each play an essential role in applying these systems, maintaining accountability and contributing to their ongoing evaluation, development and improvement.
It also reflects the collective work of our Clinical Governance Committee, Consumer Advisory Committee Representatives, Infection Prevention Consultants and Health Executives. Through shared oversight, open communication, auditing, education and continuous review, Clinical Governance is embedded throughout our clinic and every stage of the patient journey.
