Let’s talk about fixed retainers 🤔

🦷 What are fixed retainers?

They are a wire that is glued behind your upper and lower 6 front teeth after you finish treatment.

🙋‍♀️Why do you need them?

This question is very common, fixed retainers are used to ensure that your teeth don’t move once we remove your braces or aligners.

🍎Can I still eat normal foods?

Yes. You’re fixed retainers will not stop you from eating anything.

🪥Do I still need to floss?

Definitely. It may seem impossible but it’s not, however you might need to use different types of floss. Some common ones are pikseters, super floss, water flosser and more.
