Mandibular advancement splints (MAS) is one of the options to treat primary snoring and obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). Interesting fact is that around 50-80% of people with sleep apnea are undiagnosed, with women being undiagnosed more than men due to general stereotypes about what an average person with sleep apnea may look like. Dr. Julia routinely screens for sleep apnea signs and symptoms as part of the regular examination appointment.

Non-surgical expansion of the top narrow jaw by Dr. Julia on 11 years old boy. This creates bigger airway and space for teeth to avoid crowding. In adults, this can only be fully treated with surgery.

Last Saturday was all about giving back. Dr. Julia volunteered with the Esesson Foundation , providing much-needed dental care for children from refugee and asylum seeker backgrounds.
