❄️ KEEPING YOUR DOG HAPPY & HEALTHY THIS GOLD COAST WINTER 🐾

We might not get freezing winters on the Gold Coast, but the cooler mornings and shorter days can still affect our dogs more than people realise!

Here are a few simple ways to keep your pup feeling their best this winter:

🐶 Keep up regular exercise
Cooler weather is actually perfect for many dogs to stay active without overheating. Regular walks, daycare play and enrichment help keep joints healthy and energy levels balanced.

🧠 Don’t let boredom sneak in
When routines change, dogs can become restless at home. Training games, social interaction and mental enrichment are just as important as physical exercise.

🛏️ Give them a cosy place to rest
Even on the Gold Coast, some dogs, especially puppies, seniors and short coated breeds love having a warm comfy spot to recharge.

💧 Keep an eye on water intake
Dogs often drink less in cooler weather, so make sure fresh water is always available.

🐾 Maintain social interaction
Regular interaction with other dogs and people helps build confidence and keeps dogs mentally fulfilled year round.

Winter is honestly one of the best times for dogs to enjoy being active here on the Coast… fewer scorching hot footpaths and far less “I walked outside and immediately regretted it” moments. 😂

Getting ready for daycare? 🐶
Here’s your quick checklist before your pup heads in for a big day of play, zoomies, naps, and making new friends.

The good news? They really don’t need much.

Most toys, bowls, treats, and beds are best left at home, however, if your pup would feel more comfortable having their favourite blanket or bed for a lunchtime rest, that’s absolutely okay 💤
It will just be used during their Sleepy Snouts suites break time.

Those early months matter more than most people realise.

Our Learn & Play program is designed for puppies under 6 months, building on puppy school foundations and turning them into practical, everyday skills.

Each session includes 5 hours in our supervised daycare, giving your pup valuable socialisation time to learn appropriate play, build confidence, and develop good habits around other dogs.

On top of that, they’ll have a dedicated 30 minute one on one training session with our team, focusing on essentials like sit, stay, come, and loose lead walking, all tailored to your puppy.

Across 5 sessions, we focus on creating calm, engaged, and confident dogs, with personalised report cards and take home training to help you stay consistent at home.

Program details:
• 5 sessions (used over 1–5 weeks)
• 5 hours per session
• $245 total ($49 per session)

If you want to set your puppy up properly from the start, this is where it happens.
