Say hello to Ranim! 👋🦷

Our newest Oral Health Therapist has joined the Y3 Smiles family, and we're so excited to have her on board.

Ranim studied her Bachelor of Oral Health at the University of Melbourne and brings a big heart for community to everything she does. She's passionate about helping young people feel confident and looked after, so if you've got little (or not so little) ones due for a check-up, she's your person.

Outside the clinic you'll find her getting creative with art and cultural projects that keep her connected to her roots. 🫒

so your little one's in the chair for the first time and you're holding your breath 😅

here's the thing — what happens now shapes their whole dental future. we're not just checking their teeth. we're building a relationship. we're showing them the chair isn't scary. we're proving that taking care of your mouth is normal, even kinda cool.

the kids who come in early? who get comfortable with their dentist? they grow up brushing without the fight. they don't dread checkups at 16. they actually want to come back.

that's the real win.

early visits = confidence. confidence = better habits. better habits = fewer problems down the track.

plus your little one gets to meet our team, see the suction thingy (yes, we let them hold it 😂), and realise dentists are just people who want to help them smile.

we love seeing the nervous ones walk out proud.

The ADA says bring your little one in when their first tooth comes through (or by their 1st birthday—whichever comes first).

Nah, some of us didn't know that either when our kids were small. 🙈 Better late than never, right?

Let's make sure your bub doesn't wait as long as ours did. Early visits = early habits.

We'll be honest with you. Even working in the dental field, we took our own little one to the dentist later than we should have.

Life gets busy. The days blur. And suddenly that "we'll book it soon" turns into months.

There's a saying we love: the best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago, the second best time is now. Same goes for your kid's first dental visit. The best time was yesterday. The second best time is today.

You don't have to fix everything at once. You just need that first step. Open your calendar, pick a day, lock it in. That's it. Future you (and your kid) will thank you.

If it's been a while, no judgement here. We've been there too. Pop a reminder in your phone and book when you're ready.
