Veneers can look incredible — for the right patient.
Here are 3 reasons I’ll say “not yet”:
• Teeth in the wrong position (crowded/rotated/sticking out) → may need too much trimming
✅ Goal is minimal prep and keeping natural tooth
👉 Often Invisalign/braces first, then veneers if needed
• Unhealthy gums
“If gums are inflamed or bleeding, veneers won’t fix that — they’ll just sit on top of a problem.”
👉 Gum treatment + hygiene plan first
• Heavy grinding/clenching
👉 Manage the bite + consider a night guard (sometimes Invisalign first)
My favourite compliment after veneers isn’t “you had veneers.”
It’s: “You look great—fresh, energetic.”
