Welcome Dr. Macey Jones to the Method Dental family! 🥰

Well… It’s more of an evolution. Let me explain.

Dr. Macey first started working for Method Dental in 2019 as a dental assistant. Then she went to dental school at the University of Queensland, achieved amazing grades, received many awards & scholarships and graduated with honours🥇
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Over time, she has gained unique insights into what it means to be a Method Dental dentist through assisting, observing and learning from our excellent dentists. Together with her drive to be the best and most caring dentist she can be, Dr Macey is one of the most genuine, friendly, caring and exemplary clinician that we could hope for.

As we look towards a new year, we can’t help but reflect on all the highs and lows of 2025. Yes, the lows were very low but after every storm, there’s always a rainbow 🌈 and we have so much to be grateful for. So in no particular order, here are just a few of our 2025 highlights:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Both Minori (our practice manager) and Naadiya (our receptionist) welcomed a baby boy into their lives 👶🏻👶🏻 Reina and Macey graduated from dental school and are now fully fledged dentists 🦷 We expanded the Method Dental family when Jade, Nicole, Jordyn, Ava and Callista joined our team ❤️ We continued our yearly tradition of visiting local schools and kindies to talk about all things oral health (we really should put posts about these things as we have in the past, but social media hasn’t been our priority this year). We always love to see the smiles 😃 on the faces of the kids at St. Columba’s, Emily Foord and Wilston Grange C&K - and we’d love to visit even more places if you know of any!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But above all else, there’s the dentistry - helping people. That’s why Method Dental exists in the first place. Helping someone with a terrible toothache and relieving their pain is a common occurrence and we are privileged to help people through these difficult times. Everyday, we help to improve the general dental health of our patients through our proactive preventative approach with regular checkups and cleaning. And without a doubt, one of the best parts of our day is turning a frown upside down on kids and anxious or fearful patients. We provide thoughtful and very high quality dentistry year in and year out and we are extremely proud of that.

So thank you 2025 for all the lessons learned and memories made. And most of all, a big thank you to our wonderful patients for always supporting us because without you, we wouldn’t be able to do any of this. Wishing all of you a beautiful and happy new year. Dr Reina and Dr Macey in the house! 👩🏻‍🎓👩🏼‍🎓

After 5 long years of studying dentistry at The University of Queensland, Macey and Reina have officially graduated! 🥳
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Macey has been a dental assistant at Method Dental since 2019 and we have seen first-hand how hard she has worked to get to where she is today.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Reina joined us a few years ago after an introduction by Macey and we’ve enjoyed watching her journey from dental assistant to fully fledged dentist.

Both of these young women possess amazing values, empathy and skills and we’re sure that they’re going to be absolutely brilliant dentists 🦷

Any day now, Minori is going to have a baby!!!! 👶🏻 We’re so excited for Minori and her husband Paul who are patiently & eagerly awaiting the arrival of their baby boy 🩵🩵

She’s only been on maternity leave for a week but we miss her already 🥲 It’s no secret she’s one of our bright lights at Method Dental who puts everyone at ease and makes everyone feel at home and we can’t wait for her to come back 🥰

So while we will be missing her for a while, we know she’s going to be an amazing mama and we look forward to lots and lots of delicious baby cuddles very soon!

In line with updates from the government and the Australian Dental Association, Method Dental is closed on Thursday 6th March and Friday 7th March due to forecasted weather conditions.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
At this stage, we will be monitoring the progress of Cyclone Alfred 🌀 closely as over the last 24-48 hours, a lot has changed and may continue to do so.

For now, we will remain open on Saturday 8th March and we will keep you posted if closure is deemed necessary. As always, the safety of our team and patients are our priority so we will always be acting in favour of that.

The thing is that it is becoming more obvious that dental health is important to overall health.

Many people find it difficult to make their teeth and gums a priority - and we understand. It’s so busy at work. The kids have heaps of stuff on. You’ve just injured your shoulder.

But… It really is that simple to book a time for a dental check up. You can call or you can book online. You can find a time now and you can find a time in the future. We know you can because we’ve seen so many other people go from irregular visits to regular 6 monthly check ups.

Regular check ups help your dentist to find problems early, when they might not even need any treatment but perhaps just a little TLC. There might be a spot where you haven’t been able to clean it quite properly but just didn’t know - and your dentist, Dr. Annie, helped you to find it and maintain it before tooth decay or gum disease set in.

And then she helped you again at the next visit. And so on. For life.

Forget Valentine’s Day, I have been feeling the love recently!

We are unfortunately losing one of our amazing dental assistants, Scarlett, to another town and as a thank you, she bought this amazing family Lego set for Jasmine and I!

As a truly family business, this really made me smile. ❤️

We have been blessed to recently have a few new additions to our team: Dr. Annie, Hayley, Alex and Jade. And I have to say that the team is just so happy to have them all onboard 🤩

Dr. Grant and Jasmine are so happy to welcome baby Wyatt to the world! 🥳🎊👶

Born at the end of September, Wyatt is growing lots, happy and healthy and very well loved by his big brother!

We are so excited to see the Method Dental family growing 😃

Can I tell you about the great dentists I work with? 🥹

Today, Dr. Rupini, Dr. Annie and I (Dr. Grant) visited C&K Wilston Grange Kindergarten and did a presentation for the kids about Carrots the Cavity Free Bunny. I’m so lucky that Method Dental continues to find like-minded professionals who are not just happy to, but super-KEEN to take time out of their day to visit these kids. 😃

We go through a day in the life of Carrots, talking about brushing twice a day for two minutes 2️⃣x2️⃣, teeth-friendly 🥕 and sometimes foods 🍩, sugar bugs 🦠 and visits to the dentist 😷. The kids always enjoy the presentation and they get a great goodies bag to take home at the end!

I’m so proud to call these dentists my colleagues and their commitment to improving the dental health of our community really makes Method Dental what it is.
