You’ve been told a tooth may need a crown or onlay… and now you’re wondering what actually happens next. 🦷

Does it all happen in one appointment?

What does the dentist need to check first?

And how do they decide which option to discuss with you?

At Absolute Dental Care, the process starts with looking at the tooth and understanding what’s happening before talking through the options that may be appropriate.

Your dentist can explain what they see, what the different options involve, and what the next appointment may look like.

Because hearing “crown” or “onlay” can feel like a lot less of an unknown once you understand the process. 🤍

You notice your jaw feels different… but is it actually something to mention at the dentist? 🤔

It’s an easy thing to brush off, especially when you’re not sure whether jaw clenching or a TMJ-related concern is something your dentist needs to know about.

You don’t need to work that out on your own.

Start with what you’ve noticed.

When it happens.

What feels different.

And any questions you’ve had about it. 🦷

Your dentist can assess your individual situation and talk through what may be relevant from there.

Sometimes the most useful place to start is simply mentioning it. 💙

The wedding countdown has a funny way of turning into one very long checklist. 😅💍

Venue.

Outfits.

Flowers.

Photos.

And then you remember, “Oh… what about my teeth?”

Some dental options need more planning time than others.

Whitening may be considered a few weeks before the wedding, while clear aligner treatment can require several months.

And if there’s a chipped tooth, older filling, or another concern you’ve been putting off, starting the conversation earlier gives your dentist more time to assess it and discuss your options. 🦷

If your smile is part of your wedding prep, a consultation is a good place to work out what may be suitable and when to start.

After nearly 30 years in dentistry, Dr Paul has learned that the conversation matters just as much as the treatment itself. 🦷

Because people don’t always walk into a dental appointment knowing exactly what they need.

They might have a tooth they want checked.

Questions about crowns, implants or clear aligners.

Or simply want to understand what could be possible for their smile.

For Dr Paul, it starts with listening, understanding what matters to the person in the chair, and talking through the options clearly.

Whether it’s everyday dental care or exploring a particular treatment, you can start with a conversation at Absolute Dental Care. 🤍

A hygiene visit doesn’t have to feel like a quick clean and a goodbye. 🦷

With Kara at Absolute Dental Care, there’s time to look a little closer.

Your 50-minute appointment includes a bacterial sample, a clean using EMS Air Flow, and a conversation about what Kara noticed along the way.

You can ask questions.

You can understand what’s actually going on.

And you’ll leave with tips that are specific to you, rather than the same advice everyone hears. 💙

It’s a hygiene appointment with time built in for the conversation too.

You’ve been living with that broken tooth for a while now.

It isn’t painful, so part of you keeps thinking, “Maybe it’s fine.” 💭

But another part of you notices it every time you eat.

You’re careful with that side.

You avoid certain foods.

And you quietly hope it doesn’t get any worse.

A broken tooth doesn’t always tell you how much attention it needs just by how it feels. 🦷

At Absolute Dental Care, an assessment can help determine the condition of the tooth and what options may be appropriate.

For some teeth, that may include a crown designed to cover and help restore the tooth’s shape and function.

For others, the recommendation may be different.

The first step isn’t assuming what treatment you’ll need.

It’s understanding what’s happening with the tooth now. 🤍

You’ve probably wondered what actually happens between “I’m missing a tooth” and having a dental implant in its place. 🦷

Is it one appointment?

How is the implant placed?

And how long does everything take?

The process happens in stages, and it starts before any treatment is planned.

At Absolute Dental Care, the first step is a consultation and digital scan to assess the area and your jawbone.

If an implant is considered suitable and you decide to proceed, a small titanium post is placed into the jawbone under local anaesthetic.

Then comes the waiting part.

The area is given time to heal and the implant to integrate with the bone before a custom-made crown is placed on top, designed to match the shape and colour of your natural teeth. 🤍

Every case follows its own plan and timeline.

So you don’t need to understand the whole process before you walk in.

Start with the consultation, and let the team explain what the journey may look like for you.

You’ve probably stood in front of the mirror and wondered, “How much whiter could my teeth actually get?” 🪞

Maybe you’ve tried whitening toothpaste.

Maybe you’ve looked at strips online.

Or maybe you’ve seen dramatically white smiles and wondered what’s actually realistic for yours.

The answer isn’t the same for everyone. 🦷

Different types of staining and different teeth can respond differently to whitening, which is why the first step is understanding what you’re starting with.

At Absolute Dental Care, there are different professional whitening options available, including in-chair whitening, custom take-home trays and Smartbleach laser whitening.

Each works a little differently, and the option that may suit you depends on your teeth, the type of staining and what you’re hoping to achieve.

Because whitening isn’t really about chasing a certain number of shades.

It’s about understanding what may be possible for your smile. 🤍

You’re not only choosing a dentist.

You’re choosing the people you’ll be speaking with along the way. 🤍

That starts with the first enquiry.

Can you ask questions?

Will the next step be explained?

Can you take your time before booking?

At Absolute Dental Care, the team can talk through what brought you in and help clarify what kind of appointment may be appropriate.

Nothing complicated.

Just a clear first conversation before you decide on a time.

When you’re ready, send your first question to the team. 💬
