COVID-19 Update
26/3/20
As of 23rd March, we have been moved to level 2 restrictions of practice*. This means that for the time being, non-urgent dental treatment should be deferred until later in the year. Urgent dental treatment can still be performed, but may need to be carried out in a different manner (for example, using temporary materials which can be placed more safely).
Wilston Dental Group will still be available for emergency treatment Monday to Saturday. If you have a dental emergency, please our staff on 07 3356 5352 call in the morning if possible. Online bookings will be suspended until services return to normal.
We’d like to thank our patients for bearing with us during these trying times. As we’ve all experienced, every new day brings new information and changes to our lifestyle. We will endeavour to keep our patients informed here and directly where required by email or phone.
If you have flu-like symptoms, have had contact with a suspected carrier of COVID-19 or if you or members of your household have travelled overseas within the last 14 days, and you have an urgent dental problem, please contact our staff for advice by phone on 07 3356 5352. Alternatively, you can contact the Australian Government Department of Health Coronavirus Hotline on 1800 202 080 or Queensland Department of Health 13 432 584.
Implications for Infection Control
Our stringent infection control protocols will remain unchanged. Although COVID-19 has impacted the availability of surgical masks worldwide, we are well stocked at present and will, if necessary, have access to emergency supply via the Australian Dental Association. Wilston Dental Group is an accredited practice which means we maintain, and are assessed upon, the highest standards. Our infection control procedures are designed to keep you safe from cross contamination and, as always, we take our infection control measures very seriously and adhere always to best practice.
