I remember when I was a new grad dentist and still finding my feet, there were many procedures that would give me anxiety. At that time, even the thought of doing an anterior composite resin was enough to make me anxious and lose sleep the night before. Fast forward to 15 years later, and I find myself feeling excited thinking about doing a single resin veneer on a discolored central incisor… and this got me thinking- where does self confidence come from? I think it comes from proving to yourself that you’re capable of doing something to a reasonable standard, over and over again. Pushing yourself slowly outside your comfort zone each time. When you hunger for growth, every challenging case, feels like a learning opportunity. An opportunity to gain more experience and as a result, more confidence in what you can do and an appreciation for what you can’t do. I don’t know what the destination is but I love this journey.
For this case, I used Estelite Asteria composite resin with Estelite color tints
