What if going to the dentist didn’t feel like… going to the dentist?

For a lot of people, walking through the door is the hardest part.

Maybe it’s been a while.
Maybe you’ve had a bad experience before.
Maybe you’re worried about what we’ll find — or what we’ll think.

Dr Richie gets it.

He’s not interested in judgement or making you feel uncomfortable. He’d much rather have a conversation, understand what matters to you, and help you work out what comes next — at a pace that feels manageable.

Behind the dentist is a husband, dad, sports lover, problem-solver and someone who genuinely enjoys getting to know the people sitting in his chair.

Because good dentistry isn’t just about teeth.

It’s about trust.
It’s about feeling heard.
And it’s about feeling comfortable enough to come back.

Just thoughtful dentistry, good conversations and a team that wants you to feel supported.
Dentistry can feel different. Come and see for yourself.

There are plenty of things that matter to us in our small independent business - but these are the ones that shape how we care for people every single day.
We believe dentistry should feel personal and never transactional. That means taking the time to listen, getting to know the person behind the patient, and creating an environment where people feel respected, supported and never rushed.
It also means looking beyond quick fixes. We believe in prevention, understanding the cause of a problem, and helping our patients make informed decisions that support their long-term oral health.
These aren’t just words for a post. They are the standards we try to bring into every appointment, every conversation and every discussion about treatment.
Because good dentistry is about more than teeth. It is about relationships, trust and caring for people properly.

Sports and energy drinks might seem like the go‑to option when you’re active, but they’re usually high in sugar and very acidic. This combination can wear away tooth enamel and increase your risk of decay.
Dehydration can also dry out your mouth, which raises the risk of gum disease, decay and tooth wear. You're far better to stay hydrated with water which is the safest choice for your teeth! 🫗⛹️‍♂️

Playing high‑impact or contact sports without a mouthguard can result in serious injuries involving broken or chipped teeth, nerve damage, jaw injuries or even losing a tooth altogether 😫
These injuries often don't come with quick fixes, and they can lead to years, sometimes decades, of ongoing dental treatment. Fortunately, many injuries are entirely preventable with a custom-fit mouthguard created by your dentist 🏒😁

Do wisdom teeth always need to be removed? 🦷

Not necessarily!

Ashley, our Oral Health Therapist, explains some FAQs about wisdom teeth.

If you’re 18-25, Dental Health Week is the perfect reminder to book a check-up. This is the age when wisdom teeth often start causing problems, and an early assessment can help prevent pain and more complex treatment later on.

Have questions about your wisdom teeth? We’d love to help!
