🚨 Did you know? Bleeding gums are NOT normal!
It’s a common misconception:
❌ Myth: "My gums bleed because I brushed too hard."
✅ Fact: Brushing too hard or using hard-bristled toothbrush can physically injure and irritate your gum tissue, causing it to bleed.
However, frequent bleeding often points to underlying gum inflammation like gingivitis, where the gums are already swollen and fragile. This inflammation caused by plaque buildup along the gumline.
Brushing gentler won't treat the underlying cause if plaque is present. Routine cleans and targeted oral hygiene are key to reversing gingivitis before it progresses.
