Did you know that if wisdom teeth are impacted or stuck in the jaw, you may not have any symptoms, but they could be damaging the tooth in front?

This is usually picked up on routine x-rays undertaken during a general check up.

On other occasions, the patients come in with pain and it is possible that the wisdom tooth has caused so much damage to the good tooth in front that it requires removal or very extensive treatment.

Support our local school and children

Our P&C is hosting a sausage sizzle at Bexley Public School on October 14th during the Referendum. We are trying to raise much needed funds to build a playground for our students. The school hasn’t had a playground for many years and the quotes we’ve received are enormous.

We would be extremely appreciative of your support to help us reach our goals. If you are able to make it down to Bexley Public School next Saturday to cast your vote, please do so. We will have halal beef, chicken and vege sausages available as well as drinks and cupcakes amongst other things.

This patient attended our clinic after being Reffered by one of our patients.

She was interested in improving her smile and was mainly concerned with the mottled appearance of her enamel. This is a defect that she has had ever since she was a child.

During our initial consultation, we discussed the pros and cons of composite vs porcelain veneers, including costing.

We both agreed that since she was generally happy with the shape of her teeth, composite bonding was more suitable.

We then had a second consultation where we spent more time discussing colour and trial was undertaken on a few teeth to ensure that the patient was happy with the decision.

The case was completed in approximately 4 hours and the patient was overwhelmed with the result.

It is important to remember that there are no two patients that present the same. Every case must be evaluated individually to decide on the best way to move forward.

Many of our patients are wishing to remove their old mercury fillings. While we don’t always recommend this, there are circumstances where it makes perfect sense to do so. You can see in this case that the outcome is wonderful and harmonious with the surrounding teeth.

Quite often, when he has patients that are the same as his parents age, he treats them like they are his own.
These lovely patients are regulars and have been tremendously proactive in their approach to their health. They are truly to be admired.

We had a young man come in after having an accident on his scooter at the local park. Luckily for him, when he broke his front tooth, one of his friends was able to find it. He quickly attended our practice and we were fortunate enough to be able to glue it back on. While we are not able to glue back on broken fillings, it is definitely possible to do so with natural teeth.
