We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team on a casual basis. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and a keen interest in dental health.

Key Responsibilities:
Assisting the dentist during procedures
Preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment
Taking and developing dental radiographs (X-rays)
Providing patients with oral care instructions
Maintaining patient records and scheduling appointments
Ensuring a clean and organized work environment

Requirements:
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not essential
Certificate III in Dental Assisting or equivalent is an advantage
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work well in a team
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Flexibility to work on a casual basis.
Friendly and supportive team environment

To our Valued Community
Exciting News – Level 3 restrictions have been lifted and Dentistry is now in Level 2 restrictions.
This means we are able to see Patients for a broader range of services in Dentistry; however, we are still not at full services. It is also necessary to apply all COVID-19 safety triaging when you contact us.
Call us now on 02 6492 1019 and our team will assist you in scheduling an appointment to see Dr Arvind Chawla. Also feel free to be in touch with all enquiries, as keeping in good health throughout the COVID period is very important.
We are expecting to be busy due to the closure of the majority of our services, don’t delay in making contact.
Thank you for your patience, it has been a relief to re-open much sooner than we thought and this is due to everyone’s commitment to stay safe and be isolated.

An Update Regarding COVID-19:
In response to Covid-19 spread ,our practice will be reducing our office hours to care for only EMERGENCY patients of our clinic. We are postponing all other routine procedure until further notice.
We here at Bega Dental Surgery support the efforts to slow the spread of the virus in order to minimize the strain on our hospitals and urgent care facilities and look forward to getting back to work helping patients with their dental needs.
If you are suffering from a toothache while we are currently unable to provide regular treatments due to COVID-19 restrictions, here are some tips to help you in the meantime:
💊 To help with the pain, use over-the-counter pain killers, as per the instructions on the box
🦷 Ensure you maintain good oral hygiene, brushing twice a day with fluoride toothpaste and flossing daily
🍭 To prevent further decay, reduce the amount of high sugar foods you consume
🙌 We are still able to care for our patients who are experiencing severe pain, swelling or dental trauma, so if you are experiencing a dental emergency, please don't hesitate to contact us on 64921019 to find out if you meet the criteria for emergency treatment.
