Why do Teeth Decay?

What is Periodontitis?
Periodontitis is an advanced form of gum disease that progresses painlessly and typically goes unnoticed until the teeth start to feel wobbly, or even fall out. Watch this video to understand a little bit more about the disease making so many people “long in the tooth,” and what your gum recession might say about your overall oral health. Josh and Sarah walk us through the causes of gum disease, as well as its treatment both at home and at the dentist.

Denture Care

Looking after dentures is a full time job, and sometimes it can be hard to know just what that job entails. In this video Josh and Sarah walk you through the basics of caring for your new pearly whites. They discuss if you should soak your dentures overnight, how to keep them clean and free of stains, if you can sleep with your dentures and what can happen if your dentures aren’t kept clean.

Dental Plaque and Calculus

Ever noticed a scraping sound while having your teeth cleaned? That’s the sound of us taking off a very strong material called calculus (previously known as tartar), which cannot be removed at home. In this video, Josh and Sarah discuss how plaque and calculus forms, how it's removed, and why we need to have our teeth cleaned at least every six months.
