Every stage is deliberate, every decision considered. Nothing is rushed, and nothing is placed until we know it's right.

The temporary phase is one of the most important parts of the journey; it's the patient's chance to trial their new smile in real life before anything permanent is placed. If something needs refining, we address it before the final porcelain is made.

This one is important to me. Running a dental practice is a business, I won't pretend otherwise. But the moment a patient becomes a sales target rather than a person, we've crossed a line.

Veneers should never be sold to meet targets or by people who aren't clinically qualified to make that recommendation. The patient has to be at the centre of every decision, every time. That's what ethical dentistry looks like and it's something I'm not willing to compromise on.

This one required a different kind of team. A tongue thrust habit was contributing to alignment issues, so before we even started with Invisalign, we brought in an Oral Myologist to address the root cause. 9 months of treatment followed, non-extraction, along with upper and lower fixed and removable retainers, and teeth whitening to finish.

A collaborative, considered approach from start to finish.

Final polishing; the last stage of ceramist Chloe's process before a set of veneers leaves our in-house lab.

At this point, every veneer has already been hand-built, layered, fired, and shaped. The final polish is what brings it all together, refining each surface so the porcelain catches light the way natural enamel does.

It's a step that requires an exceptional eye and a level of patience that can't be rushed. This is what it looks like when ceramics is treated as the art form it truly is.

Veneer revision work is something we're seeing more of and it's a conversation worth having openly.

There are real factors that contribute to outcomes that don't meet expectations, and understanding them before you commit to treatment is important.

8 custom porcelain veneers and gum recontouring, completed within a week. The gum work was an important first step here, creating the right foundation and proportions before the veneers were placed. Every detail considered, nothing rushed.

Tooth pain isn't always straightforward and it's rarely just a cavity.

Cold sensitivity, pain on biting, sinus-related discomfort, nerve issues; they all feel different and they all mean something different. What concerns me most though is the other side of the coin: the dental issues that progress quietly, with no pain at all, until the point where something needs to be done urgently.

If something feels off, even mildly, it's worth getting it looked at sooner rather than later.

This is a conversation I have with every single patient before we begin veneer treatment.

Tooth reduction is typically involved and while the amount in my hands is minimal, it is irreversible. That's not a reason not to proceed, but it is a reason to go in fully informed, with a dentist who treats conservation of tooth structure as a priority, not an afterthought.

Sometimes a full reset is the right place to start.

For this patient, we removed all existing resin bonding, addressed cavities, and completed minor gum work before preparing and placing 20 custom upper and lower porcelain veneers. A comprehensive redesign that addressed both the health and the aesthetics of the smile from the ground up.
