If you're having orthodontic treatment with braces or clear aligners, you may have been given a packet of rubber bands (elastics) to wear.
At first, they can feel a little awkward and take some getting used to—but don't give up! 💪
These small elastics play a very important role in helping teeth and jaws move into the correct position. In many cases, they are the key to achieving the best result and keeping your treatment on track.
You might notice your elastics have animal names such as Rabbit, Bear, Parrot, Quail, Moose or Impala. 🐰🐻🦜🐦🦌
These animals aren't just for fun—they identify a specific size and strength of elastic prescribed just for you.
✨ The more consistently you wear your elastics, the better and faster they can do their job.

A very special send-off for our beautiful Caitlin as she begins her maternity leave 💕

Caitlin has been such an important part of the Dana Street Dental family — always going above and beyond for both our team and our patients, always willing to help, and somehow managing to keep everything running smoothly with a smile on her face.

We are so grateful for her dedication (and still working right up until her due date! 😮👏) but now it’s time for some very well deserved rest, cuddles and precious family time.

We are going to miss you so much around the practice Caitlin, but we cannot wait to meet your beautiful little girl and enjoy plenty of baby cuddles soon 🩷

✈️ Where the bloody hell are ya, Tan?!

This month, our incredible Oral Health Therapist Tania is heading off on a truly special adventure—travelling to remote communities in the Northern Territory to provide much-needed dental care to those who need it most. 💛

We couldn’t be prouder of the impact she’s making beyond our clinic walls. It takes a big heart (and a lot of dedication!) to do what she does, and we know she’ll be bringing her warmth, skill, and kindness to every patient she meets along the way.

Tania will be away for the whole of May, and while we’ll definitely miss her around the practice, we’re so excited to hear all about her outback journey when she returns.

Safe travels, Tan! Hope you have the most amazing experience… and if you could bring a bit of that warm Northern Territory weather back with you in June, we wouldn’t complain! ☀️😉
