Here is a minimally invasive smile transformation 🪄 (and if you know me I’m all about ultra conservative where possible!)

A thorough checkup and cleaning, while also using this time to discuss this patients concerns and goals. A course of whitening treatment followed by hand layered composite bonding to restore function and aesthetics ✨

Teeth and bones are heavily reliant on fat-soluble vitamins, especially while growing.

Remember that baby teeth develop in utero! So plenty of good fats, particularly animal-based, are important during pregnancy.

If there is a lack of these in the diet, then a good quality fish oil with DHA, EPA and vitamin D might be a good option for you or your child.

Like any parent, I am all for children growing strong, durable teeth that will last them through their lifetime, with minimal to no need for restorative work (that will likely need to be replaced several times).

Brushing is important, but I say a diet full of nutritious food is more important.

🦷 Why do we bother to restore baby teeth? Baby/primary/deciduous teeth are completely replaced by adult ones at around 12 years old - so we need them for a good decade or so for these reasons…

Visiting a dental practitioner can be very daunting, especially for little ones! New faces, strange environment, weird chair and equipment, the vulnerability of a stranger all up in your grill 😬

Setting children up for a lifetime of dental visits without fear and anxiety is something I am passionate about.

Over the years I have found the best way to gain cooperation and confidence is through ✨connection✨ and going with their flow.

In their first visit/s the most important thing is that they have a ✨positive✨ experience. And if we get the the point of counting teeth - that’s a bonus!

A couple of good old composite veneers to bring some youth back to this mature fellow’s smile. 🤩

Deeply stained cracks and worn edges are covered and repaired and also further tooth damage is less likely.
