Today is R U OK?Day 💛

Take a moment to check in with your family, friends, colleagues and those around you. A simple conversation can make a meaningful difference. Not just today, but any day.

Ask, listen and remind them that you’re there.

⏰ When was your last dental check-up?

🔵 Less than six months
🔵 Six to twelve months
🔵 More than a year 😬

Dental problems don’t always cause pain in their early stages. Regular check-ups allow us to identify small concerns before they become painful or costly.

And if you play sport, don’t forget to protect your teeth outside the dental chair! A custom-fitted mouthguard can help prevent chipped, broken or knocked-out teeth while also protecting your gums, lips, cheeks and jaw.

Protect your smile, stay ahead of problems and play with confidence! 💙

Let’s clear up some common dental myths! 🧐

❌ Teeth can still have problems even when they don’t hurt.
❌ Bleeding gums shouldn’t be considered normal.
❌ Sugar-free soft drinks can still damage enamel because of their acidity.
✅ Regular check-ups can detect problems before you notice any symptoms.

Cavities don’t always hurt, gum disease can begin in your twenties and wisdom teeth should be monitored, even when they aren’t causing trouble.

Prevention today can mean a healthier smile and less complicated treatment tomorrow. 🦷✨

📅 It’s Dental Health Week! 🦷💙

Everyday habits can affect your teeth more than you may realise. Sugary or acidic drinks, frequent snacking, teeth grinding and brushing too hard can all cause damage over time.

The good news? Looking after your smile doesn’t require hours -just consistency:

☀️ Brush for two minutes each morning
🌙 Brush for two minutes each night
🦷 Clean between your teeth daily with floss or interdental brushes

Small changes today can help protect your smile for years to come!

🦷 Why do you have to tell us about your medical history?

We know it can feel like we're asking the same questions over and over, but there's a very important reason why.

Your health plays a big role in your oral health and the dental treatment you receive. Changes such as starting a new medication, being diagnosed with a medical condition, becoming pregnant, or having surgery can all affect how we care for you.

Keeping your medical history up to date helps us:
✅ Choose the safest treatment for you.
✅ Prescribe medications that won't interact with your current ones.
✅ Reduce the risk of complications during treatment.
✅ Understand how your health may affect healing.
✅ Provide the best possible care tailored to your individual needs.

Even if your teeth feel the same, your overall health may have changed since your last visit.

The next time we ask you to review your medical history, please take a moment to let us know if anything has changed. It only takes a few minutes and helps us keep you safe.

Your health matters to us, and we're here to make every visit as safe and comfortable as possible.

☕ Coffee lover? Your teeth might be too 😅

Coffee is one of the most common causes of tooth staining over time. The dark pigments and acidity can gradually attach to the surface of your teeth, leaving them looking more yellow or dull.

The good news? You don’t have to give up your daily coffee fix 🙌

Here are a few ways to help reduce staining:
🦷 Rinse with water after coffee
🦷 Avoid sipping on it for long periods
🦷 Keep up with regular check-up & cleans
🦷 Consider professional whitening for stubborn stains

A professional clean can often remove surface staining and help freshen up your smile ✨
