Meet Gisela 🌿

Some people just have a gift for putting others at ease, and Gisela is one of them.
Gisela came to Australia from South America to begin a new chapter, bringing years of experience in dentistry from her home country and a genuine love for looking after people. Today, as one of our dental assistants, she works closely alongside our dentists to make sure every patient feels welcome, prepared and well cared for.

If you've been in for an appointment, there's a good chance Gisela had everything ready long before you arrived at the practice. She has a wonderful eye for detail and a habit of staying one step ahead, so your time in the chair runs smoothly and with as little stress as possible.

Patients often tell us how reassured they feel in her care, and it's easy to understand why. She's warm, calm and genuinely kind, and that comes through in everything she does.

Behind the scenes she brings just as much to the team, from thoughtful problem solving to being the kind of person you're always glad to have around on a busy day.

Looking after it is simpler than most people expect. Small, consistent habits do more than big dramatic changes ever will. Brushing, flossing and keeping up with your regular check-ups will take you further than any quick fix.

For anyone who finds flossing a chore, there's an old exchange that has always stuck with us.
Patient: "Which teeth do I actually have to floss?"
Dentist: "Only the ones you want to keep."
It's a bit cheeky, but the point lands. The good news is that flossing looks different now than it used to. There are gentler, quicker options that suit people who have always found it fiddly.

That first coffee of the day is one of life's simple pleasures. So is a glass of red on a Friday night. The good news? You don't have to give either up to keep your smile looking fresh. ✨

A few everyday favourites, coffee, tea and red wine among them, can gradually leave surface stains on your teeth. Smoking and the natural changes that come with age can play a part too.

What a lot of people don't realise is that enjoying these things and looking after the colour of your teeth don't have to be a trade-off. A conversation with our dentists or hygienist can help you understand what's affecting your teeth and put a few simple habits in place to reduce the risk, without 'giving everything up'

Stress sneaks up on all of us, but small moments of calm can make a real difference. A few ideas to stress down today:

☕ Share a coffee or tea with a workmate or friend, no phones, just chat
🐦 Pause by a window and watch the birdlife for a few minutes
🌳 Sit in a park for 5 minutes and just watch the world go by
🎨 Colour in a mindful image, no pressure, just something for you

Since joining the Lidums Dental team, Brooke has thrown herself into learning everything she can to support our patients even further, always looking for ways to provide better care, whether it's for natural teeth or dental implants.

Behind every smile we create, there's someone making sure every detail is exactly right, meet Jhonathan.

Our Lab Coordinator, Jhonathan, is the person ensuring every patient's labwork is prepared, quality checked and ready for their appointment. He supports patients through their All-on-X journey, working behind the scenes so appointment days run smoothly from start to finish.

You'll often find him in the lab, printing and preparing immediate teeth via our 3D printer, liaising closely with our labs to keep everything on track and quality checking all labwork that comes through.

You will meet him when you come in for your initial consult and planning appointments and the day you get your new smile - taking patient photos ensuring they are captured for accuracy in order for our dentists to provide you with a clear diagnosis and plan and then to capture your new smile.

Jhonathan meets daily with our Dentists and Front Office Coordinator to keep us prepared and organised for every patient. His attention to detail and consistent process allow our whole team to focus on delivering excellent care and results.

He's fun, kind, respectful, accommodating and always thinking of what's best for our patients. We are grateful to have him as part of the Lidums Dental team.

The best veneer results come from what happens before treatment, not during it

Meet Peppa, the friendly face (and voice!) of Lidums Dental 👋

If you've ever walked through our doors, chances are Peppa's the one who greeted you by name, popped the kettle on, and made you feel right at home in our patient lounge.

As our Front Office Coordinator, Peppa wears a lot of hats, she'll help find an appointment time that works for you, answer your questions, and keep the practice running like clockwork behind the scenes (daily schedules, team morale, you name it, she's across it).

But mostly, she's really good at making people feel welcome. ☕✨

She's a huge part of why our patients feel like family from the moment they walk in. and we couldn't do it without her!
