Meet Dr Kaamini Kesavan, the newest friendly face joining our dental family!

Dr Kaamini brings a gentle touch, a caring nature, and a genuine passion for helping patients feel confident in their oral health. She first discovered her love for dentistry while working as a dental assistant, where she saw firsthand how a calm, supportive approach can ease anxiety and build trust. That experience shaped the way she practices today—focused on comfort, connection, and long‑term care.

Originally from Malaysia and the Gold Coast, Dr Kaamini completed both her Bachelor of Dental Health Science and Master of Dentistry (with Distinction!) at Griffith University. She has a special interest in preventative and restorative dentistry and loves empowering patients with the knowledge they need to keep their smiles healthy and bright.

When she’s not in the clinic, you’ll find Kaamini exploring Adelaide’s hidden gems, travelling, spending time with family, or curled up with a good book. She speaks English and Malay—and she also practices at SA Dental.

We’re thrilled to have Dr Kaamini on board and can’t wait for you to meet her!

Dental Health Week is coming up from 3–9 August, and this year the Australian Dental Association is shining a spotlight on young Australians aged 18–25 with the My Smile campaign.

It’s a huge stage of life. Moving out, studying, starting new jobs, juggling budgets, figuring out how to take care of yourself. With so much happening, oral health often slips to the bottom of the list, and many young adults delay seeing a dentist until something really hurts.

Gen Z also tends to get health advice online or from influencers before checking in with qualified professionals. That’s why this year’s campaign is all about giving young people reliable information, building good early‑care habits, and encouraging them to see a dentist before small issues turn into big ones.

Get ready to meet another friendly face at Studio Dental Salisbury! 🎉 We're thrilled to introduce Monica, our newest dental assistant who brings such a calm, caring nature to every appointment.

Even with four years of experience, Monica has already made a huge impact with her passion for helping people feel at ease. Whether she's assisting chairside or simply chatting to ease any nerves, she brings both heart and skill to everything she does.

What's more, Monica is fluent in Cambodian, allowing her to connect effortlessly with a diverse range of our patients and help everyone feel right at home. She's truly passionate about making your dental visit as smooth, stress-free, and even a little fun as possible!

Outside the clinic, Monica loves balancing hard work with quality time. You'll find her enjoying video games, having family movie nights, and spending time with her loved ones.

Lill loves connecting with people and building generational relationships with patients. Outside of work, she enjoys time with her grandchildren, friends, traveling, and a good book or TV show.

Farida is a warm and approachable dentist who believes in making every patient feel genuinely comfortable and cared for. She takes time to understand each person’s needs and goals, creating tailored treatment plans that support long-term oral health. With a gentle manner and a passion for all areas of general dentistry, Farida is committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate care.

She completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery at the University of Adelaide. Originally from Kazakhstan, she moved to Adelaide over ten years ago and now proudly calls it home.

Outside the clinic, Farida stays active with running, gym, and bouldering. She also enjoys winding down with books, movies, and video games—especially anything fantasy or story-driven. She’s always up for a friendly chat, whether it’s about health or hobbies.

Dr Farida speaks both English and Russian.
