We have some wonderful updates to share about our team! Our lovely hygienists, Ash and Jess, are both heading off on maternity leave to prepare for their new arrivals.

We’ve officially said a temporary goodbye to Ash, who finished up with us in early May. Jess will be right behind her, with her last day coming up around mid-June. We are so incredibly excited for them both and wish them all the very best on these next chapters! 💜

While they are away keeping some very important tiny appointments, we are thrilled to welcome Chelsea to the clinic! Our fantastic regular hygienist team is also picking up extra days, so you can rest assured your dental health routines won't miss a beat.

We are looking for a new dental assistant, for a three days a week (including Friday), above award position.

We are a long standing, independent, family practice with two dentists & 6 hygienists and an established team.

The role will involve chairside assisting with the two dentists, and some reception and administrative work, on a rotating roster.

Big news at Shepherds Hill Dental Centre! 🌞🔋

We’re proud to share that we’ve recently installed a brand-new solar and battery system at our clinic. This upgrade will provide backup protection, significantly reduce our power costs while also cutting down our carbon emissions — a win for both our practice and the environment.

By harnessing clean, renewable energy, we’re taking an important step toward a more sustainable future while continuing to provide the highest level of care to our community.

A big thank you to the South Australian Government’s Office for Small & Family Business for co-funding this project through the Powering Business Grants Program. Your support has made this transition possible, and we’re incredibly grateful.

Brushing your teeth the right way doesn’t need to be complicated 🪥

Start by wetting your brush and adding toothpaste. Hold the brush at a slight angle toward the gums and use gentle, small circular motions.

Work your way around your mouth, starting at the top, cleaning the front, back, and chewing surfaces of each tooth. Make sure you brush down to your gums to remove the bacteria sitting in these areas.

When you’re finished, spit out the toothpaste but avoid rinsing so the fluoride can keep protecting your teeth.

Small habits like this can make a big difference to your oral health 😁
