Are you flossing the right way?

Did you know that brushing alone only cleans about 60% of your tooth surfaces? That means skipping flossing or using the wrong technique could leave up to 40% of your teeth exposed to plaque and decay!

To floss correctly, make sure you:

→ Use about 45 cm of floss, winding most around your middle fingers.
→ Hold the floss tightly between your thumbs and forefingers.
→ Gently slide the floss between teeth using a back-and-forth motion…don’t snap it.�
→ Curve the floss into a “C” shape around each tooth, going under the gumline.
→ Move the floss up and down to clean the tooth surface and gumline.
→ Use a clean section of floss for each tooth.

Most importantly, make sure to schedule regular professional cleans with our friendly team, who will happily guide you on the proper flossing technique during your visit.
