Nepal, one week volunteer work has gone fast, touched by the founder of this program Dr George Manos who has been dedicating for over 5 years and returning every year physically. In the past 5 days we treated over 100 local monks, nuns and orphanage children. To accumulate all the numbers over the 5 years he has contributed enormously to the local community! He has now extended and moved to the next monastery to continue his volunteer program with a number of volunteer dental professionals.

Life is not all about ourselves and work should not be all about making money. To help others with what we can extends the meaning of life. It is how I understand at least.

It was a wonderful experience, I look forward to participating and giving back more to the community.

BRUSHING TIP DAY 2: Don't use a hard toothbrush with an aggressive brushing technique as you can cause your gums to recede and expose the root of the tooth which can cause your teeth to be very sensitive. Use a soft toothbrush gently at a 45 degree angle to your teeth in a circular motion, not a saw-like motion.

BRUSHING TIP DAY 1: Did you know that brushing your teeth too soon after eating is actually a bad thing? It's no secret that consuming acidic foods and beverages (sports and energy drinks, citrus fruits, wine and tomatoes) erodes the enamel of your teeth, but what you may not know is that brushing immediately after consuming these foods can cause more damage because you're essentially brushing the acid into the teeth, not removing it. Rather you should thoroughly rinse your mouth with water and brush your teeth after at least 30 minutes.
